From Design Studio to Pilates Studio
The story of Elevate
Elevate is our brand new collection, but as you can imagine, it's been in the works for a long time here at Gymshark HQ. We caught up with Rochelle Mills (Gymshark Senior Designer) and Phoebe Walsh (Gymshark Product Manager) - a duo, amongst many other talented humans, who helped to create this gorgeous collection from brief, to the items you'll soon hold in your very hands.
THE BEGINNING
It all begins with a brief. For Elevate, the team wanted to create a studio-based range that was versatile, so versatile that people would be just as happy to wear it outside the studio as they were during their workout.
The brief was centred around the Sunday morning ritual - of going to a studio class and then hitting brunch or grabbing that feel-good smoothie afterwards. It was all about combining lifestyle and fitness with performance and function - what do people want to be wearing at the studio and how can we make it better for them?
THE FABRIC
When we tell you this fabric is special, we mean this fabric is special. As you know, we don’t do things by halves here at Gymshark so when our team decided Elevate needed a whole new fabric, they created one. Introducing... RSLE™️.
Not only does this fabric feel buttery smooth against your skin, it also gives you stretch and support where needed. RSLE™️ is crafted from over 70% recycled Nylon and almost every piece in the collection is made from a variation of it. It's quick-drying, breathable and has been designed to handle high sweat so you can flow with confidence.
THE DESIGNS
In terms of the designs themselves, we could fill this entire article with the details and specifics that went into the making Elevate. But for Roch and her team, the aim was to create a collection with a variety of different shapes silhouettes so that our community (that's you), had choice and options when it came to exploring the new range.
It was about being trend-led, but still staying true to Gymshark's philosophy of doing things differently. You'll still notice small, subtle nods to Gymshark's DNA though...

THE PATTERN
Something everyone at Gymshark loves about the new collection is the pattern. Roch and her team decided to use a spray dye technique for a handful of items to give it that gorgeous texture synonymous with the capsule. This technique is exactly what you think it is - the dye gets sprayed onto the fabric, meaning every item will be slightly different, giving you your own, unique piece.

There you have it, a whistle-stop tour of how the beautiful Elevate came into being. We think it’s safe to say any of us within Gymshark who have gotten to see Elevate IRL are fairly obsessed, so we can’t wait for you to get your hands on it!
